A message from the Englewood Little League Board of Directors to all kids and parents:

As you all know we are in unprecedented times.  In Ohio, Governor Dewine has issued our Stay Safe Order through the end of May.  Assuming things continue to improve further limitations and restrictions may be lifted. However, at this time, there has not been any new information regarding the continuation or direction to move forward with youth sports programs.  Given this information, the Englewood Little League Board of Directors has made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel our 2020 spring/summer season. 

Please understand that we discussed every option we could possibly identify to be able to bring baseball to your children during this season.  However, at this time, we don’t see the window opening within a time frame that will allow us to fully even operate a partial season for the children.  Again, we are very sorry we could not make this happen, but we will be back and ready to play ball soon enough. 

At this time, we are working with our online registration payment providers to orchestrate full refunds for all who have registered and paid.  For those folks who did not register online, we will be issuing your full refunds as well.  We do ask for your patience during this process and will have your funds returned as soon as possible either manually or electronically (for those who paid online).

For those who have expressed an interest in making a donation to Englewood Little League for the 2020 season and beyond, we are not currently aware of a way to do this through our current refund system.  If it is your wish to do such, we’d ask that send such to our P.O. Box address listed on our site at www.englewoodlittleleague.com.

Given our love for the game, and assumption that many kids still want to play baseball/softball this season, we are exploring the option of reopening our Sunday Fall Baseball/Softball League if there is enough interest.  If you (volunteers) or your child(ren) are interested in playing fall baseball/softball please email us regarding your interest at [email protected] or visit our Englewood Little League Facebook page for an interest survey regarding such.  In the past, our fall program held limited to no practices with games on Sunday.  This is designed to limit, as best we can, conflict with fall sports.  If the interest is strong enough, we will play this fall, but we need to have good numbers to do such.

Again, it is with great difficulty that we reached this decision.  We held on as long as we responsibly could to try and provide a season for your children.  We will be back for 2021, we will play ball again, and we will have the great memories and fun that has been created for decades.  Spring 2021 registration will open on November 1^st, 2020.  Please take advantage of the early discounts available.  Registration for Boys and Girls T Ball will remain to be Free.  We hope you and your families remain safe and healthy.
